Quite frankly, upon completing the nominal assembly of this bike, I am wondering why Schwinn Airdyne doesn’t cost $800! The quality is great and it just flat out works. Compared to recumbent bikes or bikes without the arm motion, you will be able to get a better workout and maintain your target heartrate easier. Don’t be worried about the assembly. I don’t know why people say it is hard but this bike is 90% assembled. You just have to put on the arms, the pedals, the seat, the stabilizer feet and computer. Just follow the directions carefully and you can easily complete it in 1 hour with basic hand tools. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. I found the Airdyne to be a great workout which included your arms, unlike the leg only workout of a treadmill. The low impact factor was a plus with my knee problems, again something the treadmill does not accomadate. My overall thought is if you only have room for one piece of equipment this is the one you need.I bought this for my wife who has been going to an exercise class for 4 years. She rode an older model of this bike there and really wanted one. It just fits in our bedroom at the end of the bed and we can run in and ride it for a bit any time of day. She rides it for a half hour every day and I ride it for about 12 minutes. I get in about 3.5 /- in that amount of time and hit 18 mph for about 2 1/2 minutes so far. It seems to be a good purchase and Donna thinks it may be one of our best investms thus far. It seems to be well made and my only questinon is — does it need greasing in any of the areas ever, or at cetain times?
