I purchased this samsung pn59d550 59 inch plasma televisions 3D TV on amazon.com to replace any 60″ panasonic LCD rear projector piece of crap which needed a new $300.Double zero bulb every 13 to 17 a few months. I have had the samsung0 59″ plasma for only a couple weeks but the Samsung PN64D550 color can be fabulous the greens are greener reds more brilliant and that i do notice the blacks are blacker. When actively playing a bluray the picture is much sharper with more clarity. I do notice a mirror effect from the black areas of a picture which means I get an incredible picture of personally and every thing guiding me. But that is the only time it is prominent. I am diapointed in the undeniable fact that there are so few Animations movies out on blue ray dvd player and the fact that they are consequently expensive to buy. Your anaglyph movies I don’t discover worth buying, finally, before using 15 movies. Nearly all of those are hardly watchable even through the bluray dvd player. On bluray I have “Green Hornet” and “My Bloody Valentine” ‘Shark Boy and Lava Girl”, The particular 3D on the “Green Hornet” decent but not spectacular. I’d like to see a 3D variation of “Avatar” but I recognize there is only Seventeen minutes of Animations in the movie which through panasonic is the best way to purchase one if you do not go to ebay they come for $75.00 or over. I would give the PN59D6500 a new rating of 4.Five. I rarely give you a rating of Five.0 because that will seems to represent perfection.
This is an excellent TV. Plasma televisions TVs are best for more dark viewing areas where there isnrrrt light from home Samsung PN59D6500 windows or several vibrant lamps. So I would likely say a good guide is for a well-lighted or brightly
lit suites go for LED and for darker rooms select Plasma. My Television is in a room without having a lot of bright lighting.
I use the PN59D6500 for viewing HDTV packages and Blu-ray and other DVDs. I am not currently enthusiastic about 3D and ‘m not using the Internet-Ready units so I can’t address those areas. I might rate the picture high quality as superb. It would be hard to imagine a much better or sharper image than I approach to this TV. I have not noticed any phoning as mentioned as a problem about plasma TVs. I have heard others say that the larger the looking at screen the better. Well, the 59 inches screen of this TV sure looks superior to a 55 inches screen.
I purchase the Samsung HT-D6730W Home Theater Speakers to accompany your PN59D6500 and have found it to deliver excellent sound.
This really is my second High-definition television. The first was a Sony. It is not the plasma. I have been happy about it also.
