I bought this to eventually pass through the ton of old floppy disks I received hence I could moderate them for any information LaCie 706018 Floppy Disk Drive and then eventually throw them away. Since the iMac has no floppy disk drive this has trod in to help out. Therefore far it has worked quite well, although you do motive to read the directions foremost equally if you fail to right eject the disk it will hang up your organisation for awhile. Otherwise, it has worked quite considerably and I’m easy getting through the pot of disks I have. With no drivers to install it has literally been a plug and use capability. Hence far on my iMac it has worked substantially and has kept me the aggravation of having to pass3 detect a Windows machine and moderate each one. This has been my first have with LaCie and so far it has been a good one.I do a portion of writing and I save everything on floppy disks. Simply my old computer which received2 a floppy disk drive installed on it broke, and I bought a young computer which to my surprise didn’t have a floppy disk drive. When I reckoned the LaCie floppy disk drive online, I ordered it and it was but what I needed. I’m thinking of purchasing a minute one to decease on a minute computer. I don’t know why a destiny of these young computers don’t have floppy disk drives installed on them? The next time I purchase a computer I will build sure that it does experience one.I bought a new computer and of course it does not receive a floppy drive. My girl yet uses them at school. Hence Voila! Amazon solves the problem as usual. This merely plugged properly in, we didn’t even need the included set-up cd included. This works excellent and is so nice and small, slow to shop in a drawer until needed. Quick shipping equally usual.
