The other reviewers reasonably much hit the spots that involved hit.
The keyboard is a little loud, sure, just aside from that it is simply nearly perfect. I’ve perpetually liked the old IBM clicky keyboards. Typing on this reminds me of those, which I consider is awesome.
The touchpad was *kinda* weird, just I became applied to it quickly (have had the auto for virtually 2 weeks now). Another reviewer commented on the scrolling, and has a solution posted equally well. Subsequently a match hours of use, I have no problem utilising the touchpad (have even played Portal 2 a act with it).
The performance Toshiba Portege R835-P56x is amazing, the exclusively thing slowing it down is the hard drive. I receive SSDs in my other machines, therefore the difference is jolly apparent to me. I’ll pick up an SSD and construct this the perfect little laptop.
Battery spirit is equally advertised. I brought it in to mould one daytime and downloaded all of Portal 2, OpenSUSE 11.4 ISO, and Office, totally while doing normal browsing with max brightness. I continued to sting and install OpenSUSE, and the battery yet lasted roughly 6.5 hours. I was impressed.
The screen is definitely bright. I applied it in a machine with sun coming through the window with no issues. Equally most, I’d prefer a matte screen, only any glare on this is barely noticeable, I didn’t eventide believe most it while applying it in the sun. I just4 name it because I just6 read a ThinkPad review that had me thinking virtually it.
I noted above that I played Portal 2 on it, yup! Works ameliorate than I expected, the sandy bridge i5 is a beast!
